Celebrity relationships are often whirlwind romances fraught with pressure, rife with infidelity, and ultimately headed for divorce. But every so often,a high-profile pair come along who buck the trend. These couples have all made it through the decades, and from the looks of it, they’re still very much in love.

1. Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw

Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw met on the set of 1984’s Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and the renowned director would later say that Capshaw was the best thing about the movie. Marriage in 1991 followed the on-set romance, and the pair still look very much in love a quarter of a century later. In fact, Spielberg told Entertainment Weekly, “My leading lady is still my leading lady.” Awww.

2. Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson got hitched in 1988 after working together on the film Volunteers, and their marriage has lasted for more than 30 years now. What’s their secret? “I think the end result is that we got married for all the right reasons,” Hanks revealed on Entertainment Tonight.

3. Meryl Streep and Don Gummer

Multiple Oscar winner Meryl Streep married sculptor Don Gummer in 1978, just months after her boyfriend John Cazale had lost his battle with cancer. Gummer comforted the actress after the tragedy, and it bonded them for life. They’ve been married for more than 40 years now.

4. Samuel L. Jackson and LaTanya Richardson

Megastar actor Samuel L. Jackson married sports channel producer LaTanya Richardson in 1980 before he properly hit the big time. The pair have a daughter together and are still very much in love.

Oscar-winning actor Denzel Washington has been married to his wife Pauletta Pearson for more than 30 years, which in Hollywood is no small feat. According to IMDb, the actress had initially thought that the screenwriter was too cocky and he believed she was standoffish. And by the time the former headed off to play Elizabeth I in 1997 they’d become husband and wife.

Jeff Goldblum had previously been married to Patricia Gaul and Geena Davis. But the Jurassic Park star only became a father for the first time after walking down the aisle with his third wife – Olympian gymnast Emilie Livingston. Greg Gutfeld first laid eyes on his wife at work, of all places!
